When we secured Rita’s Italian Ice as a client and became their agency of record, we quickly hit the ground running, elevating everything from the brand voice and creative direction to their digital presence. All of the creative born from keyboard clicks, dry erase boards and mouse moves, gave new life to their 600+ locations around the world.
As the agency’s only copywriter at the time, I had my hand on every piece of communication for the brand. POP/POS collateral, social, web, email, and creative concept development.
We even went big on Rita’s favorite 24 hours of the year: First Day of Spring. On FDOS, Rita’s celebrates the dawn of Spring by giving everyone free ice. This cup prompted all who got ice to take a pic and post it to their social channels with the hashtag #RitasFirstDayOfSpring
After developing the cup’s concept, it was time to get the word out.
We knew no one would pass on free ice, but we didn’t know so many people would follow suit and post the cup to their social accounts. We literally garnered thousands of social impressions from customers all around the world. The cup was a hug hit.
